Ronda is a fascinating town, probably best known for the Puente Nuevo bridge, built in 1793 which spans a 226 foot deep gorge. The gorge separates Ronda into two halves. On the left is La Ciudad of medieval times, and on the right is the Mercadillo built in the 18th century.
The other monument that shapes Ronda's image as a romantic town, is its Bull Ring. Built in 1785, this bull ring is the oldest in Spain. Its simple and elegant arena is the largest in the country
