Other Golf Courses
Los Arqueros - This is one of the most tranquil and stunning settings to be found on the coast. Accuracy and direction, not length, are key in obtaining a good round. It was the first Costa del Sol course designed by Seve Ballestreros and opened in 1991. The atmosphere at the club is friendly and welcoming. There is an extensive menu at reasonable prices.
As well as Los Arqueros, there are over 40 golf courses within about 30 minutes drive of the apartment. A few are 9 holes, most 18 holes, and some clubs have 2 or more courses.
Some of the top courses in Spain are on this coastline, which often called the 'Costa del Golf'. Golf clubs close to the apartment include:
- La Quinta, (Choose 18 of the 27 holes for your round)
- Los Naranjos, designed by Robert Trent Jones
- Guadalmina (2 x 18 courses)
- El Paraiso, designed by Gary Player.
Slightly further afield (about 45 minutes) is Valderrama which hosts the final tournament of the mens European Tour - the Volvo Masters - each October. Close to Valderamma and of a similar standard are Sotogrande (36 holes) and San Roque (The New course hosted the 2006 Spanish Open, the Old course was designed by Seve Ballesteros).
Most courses hire out clubs and buggies/trolleys. Full details of all the courses are in the apartment.
